Founded in 2012, Spade Racing is the longest-running long-form motorsports humor website anywhere.  Combining innovative storytelling, original research, and dynamic personalties, Spade Racing is MOXOC’s first and foremost creation.  Original content—humor, race picks, rankings, breaking news, and historical research—makes Spade Racing a destination website for NASCAR fans around the world.  In 2019, Spade Racing produced its 1,000th article, a major milestone for both Spade Racing and MOXOC.  Spade Racing maintains an interactive presence with its fans through a robust social media presence as well.

New for 2020, Spade Racing has started its “NASCAR for Newbies” Series, an informative ten-part series for brand-new stock car racing fans.

Race Shop Reviews

Race Shop Reviews

Created in 2012, Race Shop Reviews is the world’s undisputed #1 source for NASCAR race shop information.  Created to serve a badly underserved audience, Race Shop Reviews has analyzed and reviewed all the major and minor race shops of NASCAR in the Charlotte/Mooresville North Carolina area, as well as most of the region’s halls of fame.  Race Shop Reviews has been in regular contact with most major teams to inform fans of valuable information not readily available to the public—these “Inside Tips” are the site’s hallmark.  Starting in 2019 Race Shop Reviews has also began a video series showing website users real-time footage of the major race shops through YouTube.

While the modern era of MOXOC is only a decade or so old, the creations of its creators date back further.  Here is a centralized source for older, archived material.

The Maryland Cow Nipple—topical and region-specific articles written for the University of Maryland’s humor newspaper, one of the top print-based humor newspapers in the country at that time.

The Pits—as a prelude to the launch of Spade Racing, these articles were commissioned by The Pits, an online NASCAR-themed comic strip.

The Outside Groove—a forbearer of Spade Racing, The Outside Groove was a daily short-form NASCAR comedy website, active for a number of years.

NASCAR Nicknames—a “static site”, NASCAR Nicknames was a clearinghouse for information about various racers’, race tracks’, and other racing personalities’ nicknames.

Published in 2018, 100 Stock Car Racing “What Ifs” Unauthorized is the first book from MOXOC.  Through 210 pages author Mike Mackler takes readers on a journey throughout the rich history of Nascar, asking a century’s-worth of questions as to what might have happened if things had gone slightly differently.  The book is available in both paperback and Kindle formats.
